Biography

Nazareth Hernández is a contemporary Spanish painter from Tenerife whose work focuses on the emotional and expressive dimensions of the human figure. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Licenciada en Bellas Artes) from the University of La Laguna, specializing in Graphic Design. Throughout her career, she has developed a distinctive pictorial language that combines expressive figuration with vibrant colour and gestural brushwork.

In addition to her exhibition career, she has produced illustrations for newspapers and magazines, and her artwork has appeared on the cover of publications for the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC).

Artistic Practice

Nazareth Hernández’s paintings are centred on the emotional language of the human face and body. Her work seeks to capture fleeting expressions, gestures, and moods, transforming everyday moments into emotionally resonant visual narratives.

Her artistic style is characterised by:

* Expressive figurative painting. * Dynamic, gestural brushstrokes. * Rich, luminous colour palettes. * Psychological portraiture. * Impressionistic atmospheres balanced with contemporary realism.

She frequently portrays individuals immersed in moments of contemplation, where light, colour, and atmosphere reinforce the emotional intensity of each composition. Rather than merely depicting appearances, her paintings explore the complexity of human relationships and inner experience.

Selected Exhibitions

Among her documented exhibitions are:
