Al sol del ocaso

This work is part of the series Estaciones cromáticas y lumínicas (Chromatic and Luminous Seasons), conceived for a group exhibition in which each artist developed an interpretation of a season of the year. My approach focuses on summer, understood not merely as a period on the calendar, but as an experience of light, color, and transformation.

The sea and the human figure merge within a single atmosphere. The light of dusk envelops the body, altering skin tones and softening contours to reveal a palette that only emerges in that transitional moment. The blue of the water and the warm reflections of the sun transform the body into a shifting surface, where identity seems to dissolve into the light and the landscape. Rather than representing a specific moment, the work explores how summer transforms our perception of both body and color.
