Two

""Two""explores closeness and separation through the relationship between two women. Their folkloric-inspired clothing connects them to ideas of tradition, identity and shared history, while their sad expressions introduce a sense of distance and emotional weight. As a diptych, the two paintings exist together but remain separated, reflecting the tension between belonging to something and feeling apart from it. The cheerful colours contrast with their expressions, creating a surface of brightness that hides a more melancholic reality.
