Momentum

This oval-shaped oil painting on canvas explores the emotional intensity behind the game of golf, inspired by Tenerife's iconic golf courses framed by palm trees and endless blue skies. The distorted pose of the golfer captures the constant balance between control and collapse, joy and frustration, victory and the discipline required to achieve it.

Using vivid colours and expressive forms, the work breaks away from traditional sporting imagery, transforming a familiar movement into an almost sculptural composition. The oval format enhances the sense of motion, while the bold palette reflects both the energy of the island and the emotional highs and lows of the game.
